Due to various bans on light sources that were previously used in office, industrial and street lighting, operators of corresponding lighting systems are facing new challanges. After high-pressure mercury vapour lamps and inefficient metal halide lamps are no longer allowed to be placed on the market, the EU Commission has decided to further increase the minimum limits for the energy efficiency of lamps and ballasts in 2019 with the so-called Single Lighting Regulation (SLR). This practically results in new ban levels for widespread of lamps.

In this webcast you will learn which lamps may no longer be placed on the market and when, and what those affected and lighting experts should pay attention to now. It is divided into the following parts:

  • Background and objectives of the Single Lighting Regulation (SLR) 2019

  • Requirements for lighting quality
  • Current and future lamp bans
